On December 28, 2019, Eric and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary with our convalidation of marriage.
When Eric and I got engaged, the first thing we talked about was what we wanted our wedding day to look like. The biggest question within that: church or no church? Eric and I both grew up in Catholic families and went to Catholic school from preschool through senior year of high school. Eric even went to a Jesuit college. It was not a question if we would receive the sacrament of marriage, but a question of when it was the right time for us to do so.

Today marks 10 days until Eric & I become Mr. & Mrs. I would love to share all of my thoughts, feelings, and emotions that I'm currently having, but I truly don't think words would do justice for it (I find myself here so often- I bet you can imagine how vow writing is going for me). So instead, to celebrate our 10 day count down, we're sharing with all of you some of our final engagement pictures from a couple of months ago.

I got scooped up by a boy at 16 when he took me on our first date to get ice cream, and now I’m marrying him and becoming an IannacCONE🍦💛Thank you to everyone who showered, celebrated, danced, and ate ice cream with me this weekend. One Year Later

One year ago today Eric asked me to marry him as he knelt down in the sand on Memorial Day weekend. It is unbelievable that only 365 days have passed by since that moment because it feels like I can't remember our relationship before being engaged (except Eric still can't seem to stop calling me his "girlfriend," but hey we'll get there). It would be impossible to not acknowledge our incredible friends who worked all day to make the moment perfect...

"We were just kids when we fell in love, not knowing what it was... We are still kids, but we're so in love, fighting against all odds." My 16 year old self knew Eric was special when he first kissed me on my front porch all those years ago after an ice cream date, but never could I have imagined that it would lead us to where we are today.

Six months ago today I walked down the beach holding Eric's hand, not knowing that we were walking towards our best friends waiting for us in the distance. Six months ago today I cried (a lot), and laughed (a lot). Six months ago today John started reading a fake recipe list when he was supposed to be reading his speech, yelled "whoops wrong list!", then started crying before he could even read his real speech. Six months ago today Greg handed me a pack of tissues when I got to the "Year 6" station, because he knew I was going to need them before walking to my final station. Six months ago today Eric asked me to marry him. Six months ago today I said yes to spending the rest of my life with this man.
Engagement Party

This weekend Eric and I celebrated our engagement "on top of the world" surrounded by all of our loved ones. It was an absolutely beautiful and sunny 80-degree day in the beginning of Fall. A special thank you to everyone who came, drank, ate until they couldn't any more, and stayed until the sunset. The day was exactly what we wanted, all thanks to you. I truly cannot wait to continue celebrating with all of you this year, and for all the years to come.
